More Backward Economics From "The One"

President B Hussein Obama announced today his sure-fire plan for stimulating the economy and helping the working middle class... he told companies to not make a profit and to also withhold bonuses saying "this is not the time for profit and this is not the time for bonuses".

So you can be sure when bonus or raise time comes around where YOU work what the answer will be right?

"Sorry, I can't give you a raise or a bonus... it's the patriotic thing to do"- your boss.

So when you don't get a raise or bonus this year be sure to thank The One for fixing the economy for ya'.

BTW- In spite of Obama and Democrats cries of "worst economy since the great depression" the GDP grew by 1.3% in 2008 but was at a miserable-6% in the first quarter of 1982 following the Obama 1 presidency then known as the great Jimmah Cartah era.

Journalism is dead part 74...

From The Canadian Free Press: Judi McCleod has a clear view of whats happened to the news media in the US and isn't afraid to say it.

From Judi's article... How The News Became Propaganda

“Apparently CNN, having abandoned any effort to appear impartial, is now selling T-shirts that commemorate Obama’s newborn presidency,” reader Fred Dardick wrote in a Canada Free Press (CFP) letter to the editor yesterday."

CNN T-shirts include slogans such as “Obama raises hand, lifts a nation” and “Obama: It’s time to remake America”... (along with the CNN logo proudly positioned)

“How is it possible for a major news organization to get away with this?” asks Dardick.

“This is anti-American to the core as far as I am concerned. CNN may as well be considered an extension of the apparently never ending Obama campaign.”

CFP would answer Dardick’s question in this way...
During the presidential election campaign, television networks were joined by members of the print media, who jumped into the tank with Obama paving the way for the reality: “2008 the Year the Mainstream Media Died”.

CNN is not only cashing in on the sales of the T-shirts, it provides tangible proof that “The News is Propaganda”. - end.

Right-on the money Judi!

One might also point out that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel meets each and every morning with CNN's James Carville (former Clinton advisor/democrat strategist) and Paul Begala (former clinton advisor/democrat strategist) and NBC's George Stephanopoulos (former Clinton press secretary) to plan the day's propaganda which will later be spread far and wide across the fruited plain via the corrupt liberal democrat infested propaganda machine we call... Blago: Obama's "Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is a co-conspirator"... ObaMedia Not interested

From The American Thinker Blog
Bill Tate
In an impassioned
speech before the Illinois Senate Thursday, Democrat Governor Rod Blagojevich placed responsibility for one key impeachment charge just a door away from the Oval Office. Blagojevich said before the Senate vote that, if he's impeached, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel should be a "co-conspirator."
"If you're impeaching me," Blagojevich told lawmakers," ... let's demand that President Obama fire Rahm Emanuel, because Rahm Emanuel is the one who gave me this idea.".

Blagojevich insisted that the controversial program for which he was being impeached was the brainchild of Emanuel, who inherited Blagojevich's congressional seat before being named Obama's Chief of Staff.

"So we found a way, and I was the first governor to do it. The idea came to me, not from me, but from then-Congressman, Rahm Emanuel. ...

It's not the first time that Emanuel's name has been connected to allegations of wrongdoing by Blagojevich, who himself inherited both Emanuel's former congressional seat (Dan Rostenkowski) and the gubernatorial office (George Ryan) after his predecessors in both were thrown into jail on corruption charges.

Don't expect to hear or see much of Blagojevich's potentially explosive assertions in the legacy media, though.
At Thursday afternoon's White House briefing, reporters took note of Blagojevich's live, nationally-televised speech by asking Press Secretary Robert Gibbs exactly zero--zip, nada, nothing--questions about the role the Chief of Staff, potentially the second most powerful person in the White House, may or may not have played in Blago's shenanigans.

Of course, a thorough examination of Emanuel might also shed light on the political cesspool that also produced his new boss.

... Oh, there was one question about controversy back in Obama's hometown.
Would, a reporter wanted to know, Obama throw out the first pitch of the season for the White Sox?

Lawsuit Filed: Hillary Clinton Ineligible for Sec. of State Position

WASHINGTON (AP) — A conservative watchdog group filed a lawsuit Thursday arguing that Hillary Rodham Clinton cannot legally serve as secretary of state, even though she was sworn in last week.

The suit is based on an obscure section of the Constitution on compensation for public officials, the emoluments clause. The clause says no member of Congress can be appointed to a government post if that job's pay was increased during the lawmaker's current term.

Clinton was serving in Congress when the secretary of state's salary was raised to its current level of $191,300. So that Clinton could take the post, Congress last month lowered the salary to $186,600, the level when she began her second Senate term. A similar tactic has been used so that several other members of Congress from both parties could serve in the Cabinet.

Judicial Watch, which has pursued several suits against Clinton and other officials over the years, argues there can be no exceptions to the clause.

The group says that Hillary Clinton is "constitutionally ineligible" to be secretary of state until 2013, when her second Senate term would expire. She resigned from the Senate to take the Cabinet post.

Judicial Watch filed the suit on behalf of State Department employee David Rodearmel. It says Rodearmel would violate the oath he took as a foreign service officer in 1991 to "support and defend" and "bear true faith and allegiance" to the Constitution by working for Clinton.

A State Department spokesman declined to respond to the case.

Update: President Obama froze salaries of cabinet members in order to dodge this lawsuit... not (as Obama claimed) as a measure to control spending as one can easily see by the $1 Trillion porkapalooza government growth bill.

Obama-Pelosi "Economic Stimulus" Plan Creates 32 Government Programs

Thanks to Oklahoma Political News Service

By Earnest Istook-
The proposed Obama-Pelosi “economic stimulus” would end the era of merely big government and replace it with leviathan government.

...We should (also) ask whether it’s Constitutional, whether the plan is being sold with false advertising, and whether we can afford it.

It would require our Treasury to borrow record levels of money from overseas, perhaps more than the world is willing to lend us. It might double our $1.3-trillion deficit that now makes us more dependent on China than any other country.

Since Obama has pledged to root out “unnecessary spending,” then why not start with this “stimulus” bill? Even Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), the Senate Budget Chairman, notes that the $825 billion package at best would reduce unemployment rate by “maybe” 1 percent -- far less than Obama’s extravagant claims.

The president’s radio address last weekend told us only what he wanted us to know -- which means he never mentioned the cost. Pollsters have told Obama and fellow Democrats to describe their plans as “bold” but never to mention the price tag. So much for hard choices!

That $825-billion figure -- all borrowed money -- also fails to include the interest that must be paid, which will push the total price tag over $1.1-trillion.

Those who look beneath the pile of proposed new debt won’t find a pony, but they will find many false claims:

-- The notion that it’s about infrastructure is hype. Only 5% ($43 billion) of the bloated $825 billion package is for transportation, including only 3% for highways. Very little is “shovel-ready” work; most wouldn’t be spent for two years or more.

-- It’s not about government efficiency. The $43 billion for transportation spending is overshadowed by five times as much (more than $200 billion) to bail out state and local governments that have overspent their budgets.

-- Although Obama stated, “We won't just throw money at our problems -- we'll invest in what works,” $136 billion of the bill is for unproven ideas -- to start 32 new federal programs.

-- “Community organizers,” such as the left-wing lobbying group ACORN, would get their own new slush fund of up to $750-million.

-- Plenty of other parts don’t pass either the laugh test or the smell test as a stimulus, such as $20-million to re-sod the National Mall, hundreds of millions for contraceptives, $650 million for digital TV coupons, and $250-million for an after-school snack program.

A better plan would be the genuine stimulus of tax reforms such as The Heritage Foundation has proposed, more than once. Unfortunately, most of what the “stimulus plan” deceptively labels as “tax cuts” is actually sending government checks to millions of people who don’t pay income taxes.

If enacted, the Obama/Congressional proposal may exhaust America’s ability to borrow. It certainly will increase our dependency on foreign money.

Foreign borrowing by the U.S. Treasury has soared in the past year. The latest Treasury Department numbers (November) show China’s holdings in our national debt are up to $682 billion from $459 billion in the prior 12 months. Japanese holdings declined slightly, but still are $577 billion. England’s share of American pie climbed from $170 billion to $360 billion. Oil exporters such as the Mid East and Venezuela upped their holdings from $139 billion to $198 billion. Russia’s skyrocketed from $33 billion to $78 billion. And foreigners who use Caribbean banks for secrecy raised their stake from $108 billion to $220 billion.

How much more can we borrow before our creditors cut us off, or our Treasury securities become junk bonds that must pay exorbitant interest rates?

If Uncle Sam borrowed this $825-billion “stimulus” cash from his own citizens, each household would have to fork over more than $10,000 right away as the price of his help. That would spark outrage. It also would illustrate the absurdity of claiming that government borrowing is a stimulus.

Sadly, the misnamed “stimulus” package is a prelude to more record spending to come. Other massive spending bills are in the pipeline for action by Congress within the next couple of months, to add trillions atop trillions.

Unfortunately, rather than recognizing that big government is the problem, those who now run Washington have an notion that government technocrats are smarter than the free enterprise system.

But we should never forget that America’s economic meltdown was prompted by government meddling, creating a quota system that required home mortgage lenders to issue sub-standard loans (see article Big-government Fingerprints on Murder Weapon). When those collapsed, the housing market tumbled and took the financial markets and everything else down with it.

Politicians at least should be honest about the cost, and that our children and grandchildren will be asked to pay it. Instead, the public is being told about the price tag, “If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.”

That’s an excellent reason not to buy.

GOP House Hit's Reject Button On Porkapalooza

In spite of pressure from "the One" and pressure from the democrat controlled news media and even threats to the GOP from "the One" to not listen to Rush Limbaugh... the House Republicans voted unanimously AGAINST Obama's porkapalooza stimulus bailout government expansion bill just as Mr. Limbaugh advocated.

In fact, 11 House Democrats even had the courage to vote against "the One" proving that the only part of this bill that is not partisan, is the opposition.... which was in fact bi-partisan!

But the bi-partisan "no" votes lost to the partisan Democrats who lined up behind "the One" and passed the bill without one single Republican vote.

So now, unless big changes are made in the bill, the Democrats in the Senate will rubber stamp it for "the One" making it the largest spending spree in our country's history... at a time when we can least afford it.

Not only that, but "the One" is claiming urgency, telling Republicans and Democrats that we must pass this bill immediately without delay... (so that he can wait 2 years to actually implement it just in time before the election).

So is this bill really just a campaign trick designed to keep democrats in power beyond 2010 that will actually end up being their demise?

This bill (one of his first acts) will be solely owned by "the One" and wrapped around His neck and may just end up being democrats downfall in 2010 and again in 2012 when voters learn just how they were "played".

Hey Libs, Do YOU suffer from Too. Much. Poodle. Guilt?

The Janeane Garofalo Tax Credit

by Morgan Warstler
Big Hollywood Blog...

Janeane does it for me. I’ll admit it. She’s spunky but malleable, and I like malleable spunky… so I’m going to tax her less.

Let me be frank, the Hollywood is liberal vibe is a shallow truism. It is shallow because it is fixable. But for now, it is categorically, undeniably true, that the A, B, C, and D list is 80% comprised of people who feel deep in their soul that they haven’t really earned all they have.

And deep in their soul, that does something to people. When you look in the mirror and feel you haven’t earned what you have, you feel guilty, more than that, you feel like a poodle. You feel like a kept poodle, coiffed and coddled and carried, without any satisfaction of having truly earned your success.

That’s a problem.

It is a problem when you know there are MANY others who have worked day and night to build a string of dry cleaners, there are many others not born as pretty as you who have trucking franchises, and golf supply warehouses… When you know there are millions of people who really sweat it out to get what they have.

Celebrities, like kids born to wealth, almost HAVE to be liberal.

TOO. MUCH. POODLE. GUILT.

They have to be liberal, they have to insist that the first generation Hispanic family that just earned a million dollars with an expanding lawn care business had it just as easy as a hottie college drop out who offered up her bottom for her first recurring on the WB.

Which brings me back to Janeane.

Read her bio.

If I were her, I’d be liberal too. I’d know I never earned it, that I was the archetype angry-gothy-little-white-brunette-glasses stand-in that everyone knows, and therefore fills in nicely in well-distributed ensemble TV casts. If Janeane dies (or apparently gets fat), tomorrow there will be another just like her.

Let me be clear: Janeane is correct to be liberal. She hasn’t earned her money. If you haven’t earned your money, be liberal… with your money.

The problem arises when those who haven’t earned their money want to pretend their situation is just like the rest of the hard working, first generation wealthy that have bled for what they have. In some sick part of their soul they want to convince themselves that other hard-work success stories have had it just as easy as they have.

So I’m proposing a Celebrity Windfall Tax… It should be easy to pass. Actors, Authors, Painters, Poets, TV Newsmen, and Athletes shall pay double. They have fun jobs, fun jobs that aren’t hard work. They make windfall profits. Let’s tax the shit out of them.

But perhaps, if they agree to co-star on “24,” and tacitly support the things they have been railing against for the past 8 years, we can give them a tax credit, and we’ll name it after her.

I’m serious.

Bravo Senator, Bravo !

Thanks to the McCarville Report Online:

"I believe I am speaking on behalf of Americans who value their 2nd amendment personal right to own their own firearms.
I also believe I am speaking on behalf of Americans who favor justice over political patronage.
Finally, I believe I am speaking on behalf of Americans who realize we are in a War on Terror and want to continue the strong efforts to bring terrorists to justice.

I am opposed to the appointment of Eric Holder to be the next Attorney General of the United States.

I take particular interest in this nomination, because I, as well as the voters of the State of Oklahoma, feel strongly that the rights conferred upon us by the Second Amendment of the Constitution guarantee an individual freedom that no government regulation can take away.

Eric Holder’s record and his true beliefs about the Second Amendment are clear. "In a brief filed in the Heller case, Holder joined other past Department of Justice officials by saying, 'The Second Amendment Does Not Protect Firearms Possession or Use That Is Unrelated To Participation In a Well-Regulated Militia' and that 'recognition of an expansive individual right to keep and bear arms for private purposes will make it more difficult for the government to defend present and future firearms laws.'

"That he is opposed to the right to keep and bear arms is bad enough, but I am also very uncomfortable with Mr. Holder’s judgment and record on pardons and clemency during the Clinton Administration. He apparently chose to circumvent the standard process by which all pardons are considered and granted, and clouded this process with the appearance of impropriety. If the pardon of Mark Rich was not impropriety, and I believe it was, then it was at the very least extreme negligence, and such negligence has no place in any level of government.
"Mark Rich, whom many label a tax evader, is in fact even more than that. Rich was indicted in 1983 on 65 counts of not only tax evasion, but also fraud, racketeering, and trading with the enemy. Rich fled to Switzerland before he could stand trial, which is perhaps the most egregious element of this case—he was a fugitive and a regular fixture on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List. And Holder recommended a pardon, bypassed the Department of Justice and the hundreds of individuals who worked to bring Mark Rich to justice, when the man who was being pardoned was not even willing to face the same justice system to which every other American must answer. In fact, Holder admitted during his confirmation hearing that he did not adequately acquaint himself with the facts of the case.

"The United States Senate should not allow such injustice to go unanswered.
"Equally egregious, Holder was deputy attorney general in an Administration which granted clemency to 16 members of the Armed Forces of National Liberation, the terrorist organization FALN.

This is a group that carried out violent protests, set off bombs several times in New York City and Chicago and was convicted for conspiracies to commit robbery, bomb-making, and sedition.
The Clinton Administration granted clemency despite opposition from the US Attorney’s office, FBI, and most importantly, the victims of FALN terrorist activities. This was Holder’s recommendation.

"For at least these reasons, I oppose the nomination of an individual who just doesn’t agree with Americans that I know.
I will be voting a definitive no on the Holder nomination."

Stimu-lating Quote of the Day

From the Club For Growth via Reuters...

“No congressman can vote for the stimulus bill and claim to be a defender of economic freedom,” Club for Growth President Pat Toomey said in a statement.
“In fact, the Democrats’ package is the antithesis of economic freedom.
The bill is a paragon of government run amok, a ballooning deficit, fiscal irresponsibility, and political greed.”

They don't stop there either...

"Beware any Republican who might fall for President Barack Obama’s sales pitch Tuesday for his $825 billion economic stimulus plan. A vote for this legislation will disqualify you from receiving the Club for Growth’s “Defender of Economic Freedom” award. "

Liberal Lie of The Day

GOP Congressman To Rush: "Back Off"

Quote of the Day:
"I have actively opposed every bailout, every rebate check, every so called “stimulus.” And on so many of these things, I see eye-to-eye with Rush Limbaugh. Regardless of what yesterday’s headline may have read, I never told Rush to back off." - GOP Congressman Phil Gingrey

Most Republican House Members Agree With Limbaugh On Stimulus Plan

The lefties are swarming. Bloggers are blogging, they found a Republican to refute Rush Limbaugh (they think). They are scrambling to get the post up... like our own Brad Neese for example, without getting the "rest of the story".

Here is the rest of the story on one Phil Gingrey (R) GA.
From The Peach Pundit Blog.

By Erick...
On Phil Gingrey and Rush Limbaugh.

"I ran a primary campaign against Phil Gingrey in 2002. Sadly, we lost in the runoff. Back then we accurately characterized him as an unimaginative whore to leadership. Of course then in a Democrat controlled Georgia state legislature, Phil was always the first Republican in line to kowtow to Democrat Governor Roy Barnes. Everybody knew Phil would be the first Republican to sell out the caucus to the Governor in the state legislature.

Nothing has changed. You should not extrapolate from Gingrey’s comments that the average Republican member of the House of Representatives feels that way. I hear from dozens of them daily and they all think Rush is right. That’s exactly why Boehner has shifted to full opposition against the stimulus package.

During the farm bill debate in 2007, the Georgia Republicans in the House made a pact to stick together and vote against the bill. Going into it, they intended to. But then someone pointed out to them that if they had state wide ambitions, they needed to support the farm bill. It was, of course, fatuous nonsense. But Gingrey promptly marched down to the floor and voted for the farm bill, betraying the rest of his colleagues (Kingston voted for it too, but everyone knew he would given the massive amount of farmers in his district lobbying him. Gingrey had zero farmers).

So don’t be surprised by this. Just note that should Gingrey ever run state wide in Georgia we’ll actively oppose him."- Erick

UPDATE: 11:40 CST- Congressman Phil Gingrey just called Rush Limbaugh on the air and issued an apology saying " I was wrong", "I put my foot in my mouth", "it was a stupid comment"... and "you (el Rushbo) were right, the Presidents stimulus plan is nothing more than a grow government plan with nothing in it to stimulate the economy".

From a statement just released by Phil Gingrey: "Regardless of what yesterday’s headline may have read, I never told Rush to back off. I regret and apologize for the fact that my comments have offended and upset my fellow conservatives—that was not my intent. I am also sorry to see that my comments in defense of our Republican Leadership read much harsher than they actually were intended, but I recognize it is my responsibility to clarify my own comments."

I look forward to Mr. Neese's next post headline: "GOP To Limbaugh- You are Correct Sir".

UPDATE #2- 5:02pm CST- In fairness to the Brad Neese Livin' Large blog, the post was later updated with a new post linked to the same statement as above from Congressman Gingrey.

Way to go Brad!

Liberals In Denial... But Deny It

Liberals deny that there is a media bias to the left... in fact a local blogger posted that MSNBC's Chris Matthews is "not a liberal".

Perhaps not, but he IS in LOVE with the Democrat party... whether or not that makes him a card carrying commu.. err I mean liberal or not is irrelevant.

Tom Brokaw seemed to think Chris Matthews has a bias and in fact "went too far".

Liberals deny success in Iraq choosing to ignore the tremendous gains and achievements, deny the fact that having a democracy between Iran and Afghanistan is a good thing for our well being, deny that the murdering terrorists being kept at Gitmo are dangerous, deny that they were WRONG about Iraq being in a "civil war" that we could not stop or win.

The anti-war liberals ignore the fact that Obama and Democrats did not stop any war anywhere and in fact plan to increase troops in Afghanistan for an indefinite period of time... (maybe 100 years) without ANY exit strategy or TIMETABLE for surrender... errr withdrawal errr re-deployment. Denial.

Liberals are ignoring the fact that half the country did NOT vote for Obama or Democrats after claiming for 8 years that if THEY were in power they would be partisan... denying that there is no such thing as bi-partisanship. In fact the words literally mean 2x partisan or that both sides are partisan i.e bi-partisan. The correct term would be non-partisan.

Unless it's a 50%-50% or even 60-40 bi-partisan type deal which is what Rush Limbaugh proposed to President Obama, which is in fact a true bi-partisan offer where both sides get something according to the percentage of voters Obama received and the percentage McCain got.
(Rush proposed the 1 Trillion $ stimulus plan be split in a bi-partisan fashion... Democrats would get $600Billion to spend on infrastructure as Obama is demanding and Republicans would get $400 Billion for tax cuts (which Obama could take credit for if he were smart).
Then we could track and see just who's plan would stimulate the economy faster and more... side by side in a comparison.

Liberals will ignore any such plan of course and deny it ever existed... in a bi-partisan fashion of course.

Liberal Democrats deny that tax cuts have worked throughout our history over and over again (even by Democrats like JFK and Bill Clinton) to stimulate a sluggish economy or get us out of a recession. Tax cuts work by putting money into the system via the average person and small businesses.

Somebody please explain to how my driving to the unemployment office on a new shiny road with new shiny bridges stimulates the economy?
IT DOESN'T.

Recent evidence is showing that the planet isn't warming as everyone on the left has bought into and sold us... but instead of embracing new data and the science that says there is no such thing as "global warming" certainly not manmade anyway... what does the left do?

Deny deny deny.

2009 "Exactly Backward" Quote of the Year

"Tax cuts to rich people don’t stimulate the economy; they simply make rich people richer. The economy always does better when government invests in its people and infrastructure."- Okie Funk aka Dr Kurt Hochenauer aka Doc Hoc

lol
For a college professor... sometimes you just gotta shake your head and wonder... what world he's living in. Sorry doc... errr funk... errr kurt, you've got it exactly backward.

The Kennedy Tax cuts worked in the 60's to stimulate the economy.
The Reagan Tax cuts in the 1980's led to the longest economic growth and upturn in our history.
Clinton cut taxes and stimulated the economy in the 90's
The Bush tax cuts prevented a horrible disaster following 9-11 and our economy grew until the failure of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac due to bad loans mandated and covered up by Democrats (like Barney Frank) and tolerated by Republicans... causing the housing crash.

We cannot spend and borrow our way out of this crisis no matter how many new roads you build and government agencies you create... we never have in our history and never will.

Jimmy Carter tried your idea... it failed. Others before also.

You create jobs by stimulating business (cutting their taxes) not by growing government to study how to create jobs by raising taxes.
It's apparently too simple a concept for the "progressive" mind.

Ohh and let me guess how he proposes to help Oklahoma's struggling economy and create jobs?
Raise your taxes of course. (Where do you think his salary comes from anyway?)

Obama Turns Auto Industry Over To States To Run

President Hussein has given individual states the authority to tell auto makers what kind of cars to make... SO... much like blended gasoline customized for individual states drove the cost of gas up... this move will drive the cost of manufacturing different standards of cars for different states up.

One car for California and a different car for Oklahoma and a different car for North Dakota and so on and so on... good grief.

As usual the Democrats answer for everything is to figure out how to drive the cost up by letting government get it's fingers in the pie.

When will we (actually democrats) learn from the 1970's that the government has no clue about cars nor any clue about climate, climate change, the environment or anything else for that matter...?

The Obama-Limbaugh Stimulus Plan 2009

From Rush Limbaugh.com
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I have a serious proposal to make: the Obama-Limbaugh Stimulus Plan 2009. There is a serious debate in this country as to how best to end the recession. Recessions will end on their own if they're left alone. The average recession will last five months to 11 months. The average recovery from each recession will last six years. What can make the recession worse is the wrong kind of government intervention. The wrong kind of government intervention is precisely what President Obama has proposed. I don't believe that his stimulus plan is a stimulus plan at all. I don't think it's designed to stimulate anything but the Democrat Party. It's designed to repair the power losses from the nineties forward of the Democrat Party and to entrench this party for, quote, unquote, eternal power like Franklin Delano Roosevelt did with his New Deal.

Now, we have Keynesian economists that believe government spending on shovel-ready projects of all kinds, "infrastructure" -- schools, roads, bridges -- that's the best way, they think, to stimulate our staggering economy. There are just as many supply-side economists who make an equally persuasive case that tax cuts are the surest and quickest way to create permanent jobs and cause an economy to rebound and recover. The Heritage Foundation can provide those figures from the administrations of JFK, who cut taxes major; from Ronald Reagan who cut taxes; and George Bush 43, who also cut taxes. The blueprint is there. We can consult it. We know what happens when tax rates are cut in a recession. We know that it brings an economy back. There is recent polling that proves the American people are in favor of both of these approaches.

Keynesian, stimulus spending by the government on infrastructure, roads and bridges and the like; and supply-side proposals -- and it's important to remember this, because it is the people's money in either case that's going to be spent here. It's our money. It is not Washington's. Now, the Rasmussen people have a new poll out, and notwithstanding the media blitz in support of the Obama stimulus plan, most Americans, Rasmussen finds, are skeptical. Rasmussen finds that 59% fear that Congress and the president will increase government spending too much in the next year or two. Only 17% worry that they will cut taxes too much. The American people, in polling, are not certain that the Obama stimulus plan is the way to go, despite what you're hearing from the Drive-By Media.

So it seems to me that there may be an opportunity here and now for genuine compromise and to establish at the same time as this genuine compromise, evidence for how to deal with future recession so that this no longer becomes a matter of partisan debate each time it happens, because recessions are going to happen. My proposal is designed to illustrate once and for all how to deal with them. Congress is currently haggling over how to spend $1 trillion, $1 trillion generated by American taxpayers in the private sector. Congress wants to spend -- think of this now -- $1 trillion that they don't have until you and I go to work and pay taxes. They want to spend this on a stimulus plan. They want to take it out of our pockets and redistribute this money in their way to their constituents and to their make-work projects like schools, roads, bridges, blah, blah, blah.

This does not have to be a divisive issue. It does not have to be in any way, shape, manner, or form a divisive issue. So I have a proposal. As has been noted, elections have consequences. President Obama in the meeting on Friday with House and Senate Republican leaders, Eric Cantor from Virginia in the House proposed a moderate tax cut plan. Obama said, Well, you know, "I won." I'm going to trump you on that. We're not going to do that. Well, where's the bipartisanship, President Obama? There is no bipartisanship in President Obama's plan. President Obama's definition of bipartisanship is when Republicans cave and agree with his plan so he can then claim it's bipartisan. But he's not compromising on anything, here.

Mine is a genuine compromise. So let's look at how the vote came out, shall we? Fifty-three percent of voters in this country -- we'll say, for the sake of this proposal, 53% of Americans -- voted for Obama. Forty-six percent voted for Senator McCain, and 1% voted for wackos. Let's give the remaining 1% to President Obama, so let's say that 54% voted for President Obama and 46% voted for Senator McCain. As a way to bring the country together and at the same time determine the most effective way to deal with recessions, under the Obama-Limbaugh Stimulus Plan of 2009, $540 billion of the one trillion will be spent on infrastructure as defined by President Obama and the Democrats. The remaining $460 billion, or 46% that voted for Senator McCain, will be directed towards tax cuts, as determined by me.

These tax cuts will consist primarily of capital gains tax cuts and corporate tax rate cuts. So Obama gets $540 billion to spend his way. The other people of this country who did not vote for his way get $460 billion spent the way they would like it spent. This is bipartisanship! This is how bipartisanship really works. Okay, Obama wins by a 54-46 majority, so he gets 54% of the trillion bucks. Spend it his way. We get 46% of the trillion bucks to spend our way, and then we compare. Then we see which stimulus actually works and works the fastest, and I will guarantee you that if this plan is adopted, just the announcement that $460 billion will go toward paying for tax cuts, capital gains, and corporate tax rates -- we could throw in some personal income tax rate reduction in order to make sure that the voters don't think it's all about helping the big guys. But we need jobs, do we not?

Who hires people? Businesses! Businesses need tax cuts. The US corporate tax rate is obscene. It is the highest of all industrialized nations. It's 35%. Cut it. Cut it in half. Make the capital gains rate go away for three months, and then get out of the way to see what happens on Wall Street. And once Wall Street starts ticking up 500 points a day, you watch what happens to the rest of the private sector. It will follow right along. This would ensure a bipartisan compromise bill, as Democrats have said that they're always about. It would satisfy the American people's wishes, as polls currently note; and it would also serve as a test, going forward, as to which approach best stimulates the growth of jobs -- and it can be measured side by side. It could be determined where the new jobs are coming from.

And if President Obama would merely say -- if he would merely say -- that he will take this proposal under serious consideration, we would then see the reaction from the financial markets, which tend to be a barometer of the economy going forward. That is, if President Obama said that he thought this compromise proposal was worth his time to look at, the markets could react to that, just the way they did when President Clinton announced that he had reached agreement in principle with Republicans to balance the budget in the nineties. The market reacted positively to that news. Not to a formal bill signing, but to the news. If we have learned anything in recent months, the financial markets more than ever look to Washington for direction.

That's bad. The markets should be looking at the market. But they're not. The markets are looking to Washington. That's where we are. That's what "is" is. So let's float a trial balloon on this compromise. This satisfies every claim and demand of bipartisanship. This satisfies the people who lost the election. Those people are also people for which the president is the president. He's not just the president of the people who elected him. His job, he says, is to get the economy going. This would do it. This would not disenfranchise the people who did not vote for him. And as I say, not only would it work but it would provide a side-by-side test where we could see which part of this stimulus plan does better, so that the next recession we will know what to do.

The problems Americans face are great, but they are not insurmountable. They never have been insurmountable. There is no reason to get up every day and tell the American people that their future is bleak. There is no reason, as the administration is doing, to depress their hopes. There is no reason to suppress the notion that recovery can happen quickly, because it can, if we work together. In this new era of responsibility, let's use elements of both the Keynesians and the supply-siders to responsibly determine which theory best stimulates our economy -- and if elements of both work, so much the better. We will know. The economy doesn't have to be liberal versus conservative, or Democrat versus Republican.

And it certainly shouldn't be focused on whether or not one party gets reelected. The reason it has is because there is such a division in how the economy is viewed by the two parties. I got a question from a friend just a moment ago when I was talking about the Obamas redecorating the White House, using the same decorator that redecorated the executive suite at Merrill Lynch. Question: "How come taxpayers get so mad at businesses who misspend their money but can't make that connection when Congress misspends their money?" It's a great question. How is it that people that misspend a trillion dollars -- who know how to waste money and lose money faster than anybody -- are thought of as saviors; whereas the people in the private sector, whose job is to generate income for people, are so despised?

And here's the answer. The people, unfortunately in this country today, see themselves benefiting when government overspends. They see the rich getting richer when private sector executives overspend. So the Democrats have foisted, successfully, class envy. The economy need not be right versus left, Republican versus Democrat, but it is because one group wants the economy to be hands off -- government hands off, let the people who make this economy work, let it work. The other belief is that that leads too much inequity, unfairness. Government must choose winners and losers so that nobody's feelings are hurt blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Well, that's old hat.

The American people are made up of Republicans, Democrats, independents, moderates, whatever they want to call themselves, but our economy doesn't know the difference. Our economy should not be focused on whether or not one party gets reelected. This is about jobs now. This is about jobs. It's about families. It's about solving a real and significant problem. So let us come together as one. The economic crisis is an opportunity to unify all of the people in this country if we just set aside the politics. The leader of the Democrats and the leader of the Republicans (me, according to Obama) can get this done. This will have the overwhelming support of the American people, because it will bring both sides together. The Obama-Limbaugh... Let him call it his. The Obama Stimulus Plan of 2009. Let's stop the acrimony. Let's start solving our problems, together. Why wait one more day?

Arrogance or Just Partisan Politics By Obama?

Can you imagine the outrage and claims of arrogance by the media if George W Bush had told Democrats (his first week in office) that they had better stop listening to the Daily Kos or Airhead America if they wanted to get anything done in Washington?

Telling Republicans that they (we) must abandon conservative principals in order to work with the white house is NOT "reaching across the isle" in spite of what the media and Democrats are saying.

I think this is a very BAD move by the new President, ...not surprising... but a bad idea.
Don't Democrats remember the last time they called out Mr Limbaugh? (It turned into a huge fund raiser for Rush and an embarrassment for Democrats)

Typical Democrat strategy however... while hiding behind the mantra of "bi-partisanship" they get as partisan as it gets.

Welcome to the new one party system folks.... unless Republicans ignore Obama's threat that is.

Not A Person?... (According To President Obama)

According to some (including our new President) this person and millions more have (had) no rights, not even the right to live.

Abortion kills a baby... a human being, a person.
It's time we told the truth, it's time you faced the truth.

If we will not stand up and protect the most defenseless among us... and instead call for and praise the murder of innocent unborn infants... then what are we?

It's NOT a choice... it's murder.

Catholic Church Slams Obama Over Expanded Abortion Funding

The Vatican issued a harsh statement reacting to President Obama's decision to spread abortion across the globe with US funding.

Monsignor Rino Fisichella, who heads the Vatican's Pontifical Academy for Life, said the church was very disappointed in President Obama and "the arrogance of those who, being in power, believe they can decide of life and death."

Fisichella said in an interview published Saturday in Corriere della Sera that "if this is one of President Obama's first acts, I have to say, in all due respect, that we're heading quickly toward disappointment."

Obama signed an executive order that ended the ban on Friday, reversing the policy of the Bush administration.

"This deals a harsh blow not only to us Catholics but to all the people across the world who fight against the slaughter of innocents that is carried out with the abortion," another top official with the Academy for Life, Monsignor Elio Sgreccia, told the ANSA news agency.

"Among the many good things that he could have done, Barack Obama instead chose the worst," he was quoted as saying Saturday.

Meanwhile Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D) claimed that Obama's new plan to spend economic stimulus money on "contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government."

Pelosi, the mother of 5 children and 6 grandchildren, who once said, "Nothing in my life will ever, ever compare to being a mom," seemed to imply babies are somehow a burden on the treasury.

The revelation came during an exchange Sunday morning on ABC's THIS WEEK.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services.
How is that stimulus?

LOL, Even fellow Democrat George Stphanopoulos was dumbfounded by Pelosi's claim.

Club Gitmo Closeout Sale: Get Your Terrorist While They Are Hot

Be the first on YOUR block to have an actual America hating terrorist from club Gitmo living in YOUR home!

President Obama announced he is closing club Gitmo before figuring out what he would do with all those fun loving guests currently staying there. OOOPS !

His big blunder can be your big chance. Order Now Avoid the rush.

All of these detainees are certifiably insane with hatred for America and will provide you with hours and hours of entertainment and excitement. But don't worry, these terrorists are harmless according to President Obama himself and come with a money back guarantee if you are not 100% satisfied with your Islamic Jihadi.

Have a waterboarding party, a bombmaking party or just sit around playing with car batteries and jumper cables... the fun will never end once you have your own jihadi living with you.

To qualify you must be able to provide your terrorist with total respect, proper ethnic food and meals, prayer mats, foot washing stations in every room and you must be able to recite from the Koran (Q'ran) while denouncing all other religions or face death by sword.

Just part of the fun you will have once you get your very own Islamic radical.

Call now, supplies are limited. (unless we accidently catch some more)

Pick me... Pick me!!

Abortions for the World.... It's On US!

Thanks to ZTruth...

"President Obama repealed rules on Friday that restricted federal money for international organizations that promote or provide abortions overseas, sweeping aside a pillar of the social policy architecture of George W. Bush’s presidency.

...“For the past eight years, they have undermined efforts to promote safe and effective voluntary family planning in developing countries,”Mr. Obama said of the restrictions. “For these reasons, it is right for us to rescind this policy and restore critical efforts to protect and empower women and promote global economic development...”

So, by reducing an unborn baby, with a very real beating heart, to an object that can be easily discarded with financial aid from the United States, Obama claimed he has helped the world?

OK.- (Z)

Wells said Z... well said.
Spreading death and teaching women across the globe that killing your own baby is the right thing to do... that should improve America's reputation in the world.

UPDATE: Rush Limbaugh Responds To Obama Attack

"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done."- President B. H. Obama

SO, why is Obama trying to separate Republican politicians from Rush Limbaugh (and voters).

Rush Responds and here is Rule 13 of Alinksy's *"Rules for Radicals":

"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

(*Obama had strong ties to the teachings of Saul Alinksy while he was community organizing in Chicago)

"If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of this TRILLION dollar debacle."- Rush Limbaugh

UPDATE: Local bloggers seem to think it's just fine for a President to go after a private citizen and threaten Republican elected officials... but dare anyone question the great and powerful One...? A sin beyond all sins.

lol.. grow up people. You sure could dish it out when Bush was President but suddenly got very thin skinned now that the ONE is President. Get over yourselves.

Report Charts "Victory" in the War that Couldn't be Won

So.... I'm wondering just how President Hussein and Jihad Joe Biden are going to spin the fact that they just inherited victory in a war they both swore to us we were losing and couldn't be won.

Report Charts Just How Successful America has been in Iraq.
So successful that security is no longer the number one concern...

But the lying left (and news media) who claimed that was a civil war that we couldn't stop and a war we couldn't win are silent and ignoring it. Shocking.

I'm waiting for Obama to put a big banner on the white house saying... "Mission Accomplished" and take full credit for the big win in Iraq to the applause and cheers of former anti-war leftwing lemmings.

Red Stater Warns Republican Elected Officials

"To those in office who call themselves conservatives or Republicans.
You had better stop listening to and agreeing with and rolling over for Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama if you want to get along with conservative voters across America. Get back to your conservative principals by listening to men like Rush Limabaugh... or
else we will vote you out of office, - got it?"

Get conservative or get out!

-Red Stater (registered voter)

NOTE to President Obama:
(in response to the post below and his threat to Republicans)
We don't have a one party system YET, so how about you tend to the Democrats and let us tend to the opposition party... okay Barry?

Obama Attacks Private Citizen, Warns Republicans

From The Drudge Report:

In a very un-presidential and un-professional style, newly elected President Obama attacked a private citizen in his warning to Republicans where he snapped that since he won the election, their views don't matter.

Telling Republicans they "had better stop listening to Rush Limbaugh" if they want to get anything done in Washington, President Obama broke new low ground in politics.

In other words B. Hussein is telling Republicans to abandon all conservative values, policies and ideas or else. Why not attack Ronald Reagan too Barry?

Rush Limbaugh is not in politics, not in control of the Republican party nor any threat whatsoever to President Obama.... except in that he disagrees with the President which apparently isn't allowed all of a sudden.

Former President George W Bush in his 8 years of constant attacks from liberals far and wide never ever stooped so low.

Shame on Barack Hussein Obama and shame on Democrats... after what YOU have said and done to President Bush and Republicans for the past 8 years to attack anyone and everyone that dares to challenge you?

Wake up people and see what YOU have elected to office.

UPDATE: Rush responds...

President Obama Struggling With Leadership Role?

As I watch the new President and his staff scramble around and stumble over each other in this first week, it occurred to me that the problem they are having is actually very obvious.

Barack H Obama has never actually ran anything (except his campaign). He has never ran a business, been a mayor who has to run the town... or a governor who has to run the state and lead both Republicans and Democrats, President Obama has never led anything and therefore has no real leadership skills.

Sure he's a great public speaker and can deliver a compelling speech, but as far as the day in and day out duties of one in charge of anything... not so much.

Hopefully (for his sake) he will get the hang of it... one thing is for sure, he will have all the time he needs to get it down since the media is in a love-fest and will never question his leadership ability or anything else for that matter.

It's a sad day when we elect style over substance, but such is our state and now we must all realize this... in due time, slowly but surely.

All Opposition To Obama Must Stop... lol

So I'm getting some flack for my recent post declaring that I hope Obama fails.
How dare me... how rude, how unAmerican!
lol

It's hilarious when those on the left who have watched George W Bush be continually attacked by other lefties are now outraged that anyone could oppose our new President.

Let me explain it for you just how that can be so.

President H's first two executive orders...
I oppose and think that to disassemble the very system that has WORKED to keep us safe since 2001 is not only irresponsible but dangerous and makes us LESS SAFE than we were two days ago. Time will tell.

His plan to make late term and all abortions easier with less restrictions is a step in the wrong direction and sickens me to be honest.

His plan to provide amnesty to illegals... during the primaries (if you recall) he went so far as to say he would give them drivers licenses, is bad for America.

His plan to turn our healthcare system into another failed government run institution scares the hell out of me.

His plan to restrict our rights to own guns caused me to "stock-up" and I encourage every American to do the same NOW.

His plans to spend our way out of a recession is insane and could cause longterm damage to the economy.

... should I go on?
He says he won't have any lobbyists in his administration and then promptly appoints 2 lobbyists to his cabinet, he tells his new staff that their salary is frozen the first day on the job... uh duh isn't EVERYONE's salary frozen their first day on the job... who gets a raise on the first day?

I want Obama to fail because I oppose his plans, methods and deeds.

I do still have that right to oppose Him don't i?

Obama’s “Green” Inaugural Turns National Mall Into Trash Dump

Thanks to Flopping Aces for this one...

Ignoring Obama’s call for service, his supporters “hope” someone else will clean up their Inauguration mess. Some Change!

Photobucket

Looking like some third world country, trash litters the National Mall in Washington, DC following the Inauguration of Barack Hussein Obama January 20, 2009

It was supposed to be the greenest Inauguration in history. Environmental groups bragged about “rolling out the green carpet:”

For all you environmentally forward thinkers out there, don’t fret, as this year’s Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) is one step ahead. The Committee has teamed up with the EPA to make sure environmental impact is minimized wherever possible. From recycle bins that will line the National Mall to recycled carpet runners, the Committee has taken great measures to reduce the environmental footprint of the event.

The inaugural event will likely leave a substantial carbon footprint due to the expected numbers in attendance, but efforts like these are decreasing that impact in valuable ways, and it’s a great way to start a new administration!

And the result?

Crowds leave cups, gloves — even flags — on Mall
By Associated Press

POSTED: 07:30 p.m. EST, Jan 20, 2009

WASHINGTON: Inaugural revelers are lucky they didn’t get fined for littering.

As crowds cleared the city today, their trash covered the National Mall and Washington Monument grounds after President Barack Obama’s inauguration.

They left behind plastic bottles, newspapers, food wrappers, gloves and even American flags they had been waving.

Yeah, great green start hunh? Just another example of “do as we say, not as we do” environmentalism.

Thank you again to former President George W Bush... great example to other Presidents for how pardons should be used.
Another example of how you always tried to do the right thing, God bless you.

"Duncan Hunter (R-El Cajon) introduced a bill two years ago to pardon the two men. Although that legislation did not succeed, it did prompt President Bush to say that clemency--perhaps even a pardon--was being considered for the men."

The Obama Presidency:

The Obama Presidency: Here Comes Socialism

By Dick Morris

2009-2010 will rank with 1913-14, 1933-36, 1964-65 and 1981-82 as years that will permanently change our government, politics and lives. Just as the stars were aligned for Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson and Reagan, they are aligned for Obama. Simply put, we enter his administration as free-enterprise, market-dominated, laissez-faire America. We will shortly become like Germany, France, the United Kingdom, or Sweden -- a socialist democracy in which the government dominates the economy, determines private-sector priorities and offers a vastly expanded range of services to many more people at much higher taxes.

Obama will accomplish his agenda of "reform" under the rubric of "recovery." Using the electoral mandate bestowed on a Democratic Congress by restless voters and the economic power given his administration by terrified Americans, he will change our country fundamentally in the name of lifting the depression. His stimulus packages won't do much to shorten the downturn -- although they will make it less painful -- but they will do a great deal to change our nation.

In implementing his agenda, Barack Obama will emulate the example of Franklin D. Roosevelt. (Not the liberal mythology of the New Deal, but the actuality of what it accomplished.) When FDR took office, he was enormously successful in averting a total collapse of the banking system and the economy. But his New Deal measures only succeeded in lowering the unemployment rate from 23 percent in 1933, when he took office, to 13 percent in the summer of 1937. It never went lower. And his policies of over-regulation generated such business uncertainty that they triggered a second-term recession. Unemployment in 1938 rose to 17 percent and, in 1940, on the verge of the war-driven recovery, stood at 15 percent. (These data and the real story of Hoover's and Roosevelt's missteps, uncolored by ideology, are available in The Forgotten Man by Amity Shlaes, copyright 2007.)

But in the name of a largely unsuccessful effort to end the Depression, Roosevelt passed crucial and permanent reforms that have dominated our lives ever since, including Social Security, the creation of the Securities and Exchange Commission, unionization under the Wagner Act, the federal minimum wage and a host of other fundamental changes.

Obama's record will be similar, although less wise and more destructive. He will begin by passing every program for which liberals have lusted for decades, from alternative-energy sources to school renovations, infrastructure repairs and technology enhancements. These are all good programs, but they normally would be stretched out for years. But freed of any constraint on the deficit -- indeed, empowered by a mandate to raise it as high as possible -- Obama will do them all rather quickly.

But it is not his spending that will transform our political system, it is his tax and welfare policies. In the name of short-term stimulus, he will give every American family (who makes less than $200,000) a welfare check of $1,000 euphemistically called a refundable tax credit. And he will so sharply cut taxes on the middle class and the poor that the number of Americans who pay no federal income tax will rise from the current one-third of all households to more than half. In the process, he will create a permanent electoral majority that does not pay taxes, but counts on ever-expanding welfare checks from the government. The dependency on the dole, formerly limited in pre-Clinton days to 14 million women and children on Aid to Families with Dependent Children, will now grow to a clear majority of the American population.

Will he raise taxes? Why should he? With a congressional mandate to run the deficit up as high as need be, there is no reason to raise taxes now and risk aggravating the depression. Instead, Obama will follow the opposite of the Reagan strategy. Reagan cut taxes and increased the deficit so that liberals could not increase spending. Obama will raise spending and increase the deficit so that conservatives cannot cut taxes. And, when the economy is restored, he will raise taxes with impunity, since the only people who will have to pay them would be rich Republicans.

In the name of stabilizing the banking system, Obama will nationalize it. Using Troubled Asset Relief Program funds to write generous checks to needy financial institutions, his administration will demand preferred stock in exchange. Preferred stock gets dividends before common stockholders do. With the massive debt these companies will owe to the government, they will only be able to afford dividends for preferred stockholders -- the government, not private investors. So who will buy common stock? And the government will demand that its bills be paid before any profits that might materialize are reinvested in the financial institution, so how will the value of the stocks ever grow? Devoid of private investors, these institutions will fall ever more under government control.

Obama will begin the process by limiting executive compensation. Then he will urge restructuring and lowering of home mortgages in danger of default (as the feds have already done with Citibank).

Then will come guidance on the loans to make and government instructions on the types of enterprises to favor. God grant that some Blagojevich type is not in charge of the program, using his power to line his pockets. The United States will find itself with an economic system comparable to that of Japan, where the all-powerful bureaucracy at MITI (Ministry of International Trade and Industry) manages the economy, often making mistakes like giving mainframe computers priority over the development of laptops.

But it is the healthcare system that will experience the most dramatic and traumatic of changes. The current debate between erecting a Medicare-like governmental single payer or channeling coverage through private insurance misses the essential point. Without a lot more doctors, nurses, clinics, equipment and hospital beds, health resources will be strained to the breaking point. The people and equipment that now serve 250 million Americans and largely neglect all but the emergency needs of the other 50 million will now have to serve everyone. And, as government imposes ever more Draconian price controls and income limits on doctors, the supply of practitioners and equipment will decline as the demand escalates. Price increases will be out of the question, so the government will impose healthcare rationing, denying the older and sicker among us the care they need and even barring them from paying for it themselves. (Rationing based on income and price will be seen as immoral.)

And Obama will move to change permanently the partisan balance in America. He will move quickly to legalize all those who have been in America for five years, albeit illegally, and to smooth their paths to citizenship and voting. He will weaken border controls in an attempt to hike the Latino vote as high as he can in order to make red states like Texas into blue states like California. By the time he is finished, Latinos and African-Americans will cast a combined 30 percent of the vote. If they go by top-heavy margins for the Democrats, as they did in 2008, it will assure Democratic domination (until they move up the economic ladder and become good Republicans).

And he will enact the check-off card system for determining labor union representation, repealing the secret ballot in union elections. The result will be to raise the proportion of the labor force in unions up to the high teens from the current level of about 12 percent.

Finally, he will use the expansive powers of the Federal Communications Commission to impose "local" control and ownership of radio stations and to impose the "fairness doctrine" on talk radio. The effect will be to drive talk radio to the Internet, fundamentally change its economics, and retard its growth for years hence.

But none of these changes will cure the depression. It will end when the private sector works through the high debt levels that triggered the collapse in the first place. And, then, the large stimulus package deficits will likely lead to rapid inflation, probably necessitating a second recession to cure it.

So Obama's name will be mud by 2012 and probably by 2010 as well. And the Republican Party will make big gains and regain much of its lost power.

But it will be too late to reverse the socialism of much of the economy, the demographic change in the electorate, the rationing of healthcare by the government, the surge of unionization and the crippling of talk radio.
